Hale Kahakai, the “Beach House” is only 1 block from the ocean located conveniently in the Hawaiian Paradise Park subdivision between the villages of Kea'au and Pahoa and only about 15 miles SE of Hilo. With the ocean right there, you will enjoy the wonderful ocean trade winds in this quaint, cute and affordable 1 bedroom, 1 bath private home that will sleep up to 4.
Whether you are staying 3 nights or 3 months, the Beach House is quite comfortable with a spacious living and kitchen area that opens up to the large lanai. All of the modern conveniences are here to include washer and dryer and DISH satellite television with DVD. Take a stroll or a bike ride to the end of Beach Road and gaze at the beautiful Pacific, especially enchanting during the winter months when our whale visitors from the deep come to visit us.
In either direction are the villages of Kea'au and Pahoa where you will experience wonderful dining to include terrific Thai, mouth watering Italian and even Tex-Mex! There are full size grocery stores in either village for your shopping convenience.
Hilo town with it's fantastic farmer's markets and old town history is only a 20 minute drive and don't miss the Maku'u market every Sunday! It's in the neighborhood of the Beach House and features local artisans as well as fresh veggies, fruits and sometimes local entertainment!
This seaside hale is just what the doctor ordered if you're looking for that quiet, serene get away from it all. You're only 1/2 of a block from the Blue Pacific, and you can hear it, see it, and enjoy the incredible breezes that'll keep you refreshed day and night!
