We're on the Hilo side, about a 25 minute drive south of Hilo. Kapoho is the sunniest spot on the Windward (Hilo) side of the Island. Normal weather is beautiful all day with the occasional rain-squall to cool things off, and then it often rains at night to keep your garden fresh and green. We also enjoy what is reputed to be the cleanest air on the planet...

Hale O Ka Lama is located in the lovely wooded Leilani Estates subdivision which is just a 5 minute drive from old Pahoa village and a quick 30 minute drive to Hilo town.  Discover our little Pahoa village with it's quaint old boardwalks which date back to the late 1800's.  Some of the best dining on this side of the island can be found in Pahoa town.  Discover historic Hilo with it's great shopping, dining, farmer's markets and helpful folks with plenty of aloha.
 

 

Don't forget to discover the Volcanoes National Park where you can see Mother Earth in action.  It's only a 45 minute drive from Hale O Ka Lama and then there's the wonderful swimming and snorkeling at Kapoho which is only about a 10 minute drive away.  Hale O Ka Lama is your perfect vacation destination!

The hale will sleep 6 comfortably and has just been completely refurnished with designer furnishings and has 2 spacious bedrooms downstairs and the private master suite upstairs with it's own private view lanai.  Hale O Ka Lama has top of the line stainless steel appliances which will make cooking and cleanup a breeze.  And after a day of sight seeing, relax in your comfortable living room and catch up on the day's events with Satellite TV along with a DVD player.
