Conveniently located just 15 minutes SE of Hilo in a very sunny spot of  Hawaiian Paradise Park and between the quaint villages of Kea'au and Pahoa, Palekaiko Palms is your perfect, affordable getaway to the Big Island and all of it's sights and sounds. 
This precious 2 bedroom, 1 bath house is located on a quiet acre filled with beautiful landscaping and bird songs.  It's centralized locale works well regardless if you're heading up the mountain to view the incredible ever changing Volcanoes National Park or down to the Kapoho oceanside where the swimming and snorkeling are some of the best in the islands.
This sweet place where the trade winds blow so wonderfully is oh so comfortable with sleeping for 4 and has amenities such as DVD player, CD player, cable television and DSL internet.  If you don't want to stay in and cook, head out to Pahoa, our little village that dates back to the sugar processing days of the late 1800's for some terrific dining!  There are 2 wonderful Thai restaurants, Italian and a terrific Tex-Mex restaurant!

So convenient to Palekaiko Palms are some really terrific farmer's markets.  The Hilo market is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays and the Makuu market (just about 5 minutes from Palekaiko Palms) is open every Sunday. 
The Market is wonderful for all of your fresh vegetable and fruit shopping, terrific tropical flowers, and great local craftsmen showing their wares.
